North by Nothwest - Alfred hitchcock

Lines on the screen to start with, these make you feel trapped and nervous the more they form, they look like a cartoon version of a building. Then credits come from the bottom to the middle of the screen, and then from the top of the screen to the middle.

The this cartoon slowly forms into a real moving picture, and we see it is a building in New York. The picture then disolves into a shot of what we think is the base of the sky scraper. Many people are rushing out the building then we see many people rushing into the tube. From this we can tell it is abut 5o'Clock in the evening, which is rush hour and everyone is rushing home.

The thing that makes this picture seem more caotic is the music with it, it is heart racing and makes you panic. The beat is fast and really goes with how fast people are walking, running and rushing. At one point we even see two women fighting for a cab, and a man (Alfred Hitchcock who always stars in one of his films early on) who misses the bus.
